Moonlight Peaks patch 1.1.44 is a seven-fix Steam update announced on July 16, 2026. Its highest-risk changes concern loading a save after a house upgrade and corrupting a save by leaving the game during a save operation. The remaining fixes focus on tree seeds, crop growth, embroidery, and placed decorations.

This page summarizes the effect of the official notes rather than claiming that the site reproduced every result. At the July 18 source check, the Steam news feed and Marvelous USA version table listed Steam 1.1.44 as live worldwide. The Marvelous Europe copy carried the same 1.1.44 fix list but still displayed Steam 1.1.41 in its Current Version block. Both publisher pages listed Switch, Switch 2, and Google Play Games at 1.1.3, so those rollouts remain unconfirmed. The installed version is therefore the safest way to confirm which fixes are present on a device.

Save and house-upgrade fixes

The patch addresses two separate failure paths:

  • A game that could not be loaded after the player’s house was upgraded.
  • Save corruption caused by exiting the Steam build while it was saving.

The corruption note is explicitly limited to Steam in the publisher’s version of the announcement. It should not be expanded into a claim about Switch or Google Play, and it does not prove that every older damaged save can be recovered. Players with an affected save should preserve backups where their platform permits and use the publisher’s support route instead of repeatedly overwriting the same slot.

Patch 1.1.41 had already said that missing save files were restored, while excluding corruption caused by closing during a save. Patch 1.1.44 is the later fix for that excluded cause. Those two statements describe different failure modes and should remain separate in troubleshooting summaries.

Farming changes

Three fixes affect farming decisions:

  • Tree seeds should now be plantable in every season.
  • Season information shown for tree seeds was corrected in places where it was wrong.
  • Crops should now grow during rainy nights.

These fixes improve game behavior, but they do not by themselves validate a crop-profit dataset. Growth duration, regrowth, yield, sale price, quality modifiers, and season-end counting still need their own versioned evidence. The planned Crop Planner should keep user overrides and mark pre-patch observations stale until the relevant inputs are checked against a current build or reproducible source.

Embroidery and decoration changes

The update makes the embroidery table visible again. That follows patch 1.1.41, which moved the embroidery unlock earlier so characters with embroidery dates could be invited sooner.

It also fixes decorations placed on tables or shelves not being removed from inventory. Patch 1.1.41 contained a related fix for higher-quality items placed in decorate mode. The two notes overlap, but the later wording is more specific about surfaces. The known-issues tracker records both without pretending they are one identical bug report.

What to check before relying on the patch

  1. Open the game’s version display and confirm 1.1.44 or a later Steam build is installed.
  2. Let an active save operation finish before closing, even though the announced corruption cause was fixed.
  3. Treat old farming tests as version-bound; repeat any decision that depends on rainy-night growth or tree-seed season behavior.
  4. Check the platform comparison and official announcement before assuming the patch has reached Switch, Switch 2, or Google Play Games.

Sources and update boundary

The primary sources are the official Steam announcement for patch 1.1.44, the Marvelous USA July 15–16 patch page, and its Marvelous Europe counterpart. The Steam feed timestamp corresponds to July 16, 2026. The two publisher pages show the same seven fixes but currently disagree in their Steam version table, so this site records that regional-source difference instead of silently choosing one table.
