Moonlight Peaks Patch 1.1.41 Changes and Rollout Status

Review Moonlight Peaks patch 1.1.41 changes to loading, storage, saves, crops, gifts, cutscenes, controls, and the pending non-Steam rollout.

Dataset: 2026-07-18 Last verified: July 18, 2026 UTC

Moonlight Peaks patch 1.1.41 was the first broad post-launch update after the smaller 1.1.38 fix. Steam received it on July 15, 2026. The publisher said Switch, Switch 2, and Google Play Games updates would follow, but the regional version tables still showed those three platforms at 1.1.3 when checked on July 18.

The update changes more than bug status. Storage can be reached more widely, quick transfer works with House Storage, embroidery unlocks sooner, and multiple progression, save, crop, gift, decorating, and controller failures are named as fixed. Any guide that depends on those systems needs a version check before it treats launch-week behavior as current.

Loading, storage, and saves

The notes say scene loading was improved. House Storage became available across the whole plot, including barns and greenhouses, and Quick Transfer can now move items into or out of it. These changes create a stronger future use case for a storage planner, but container sizes, stack limits, upgrade costs, and transfer rules still need a verified dataset before that tool can launch.

The patch also says missing save files were restored. At that point, the publisher explicitly excluded corruption caused by exiting during a save; patch 1.1.44 addressed that separate Steam failure one day later. A status page should not collapse “missing,” “corrupt,” and “cannot load after a house upgrade” into one generic save problem.

Crops, trees, crafting, and decorating

Some crops and trees failing to mature were named as fixed. Tree-seed labels were changed to describe the seasons in which produce grows, and a later 1.1.44 follow-up corrected seed planting and some season labels. These announcements make older crop observations version-sensitive, but they do not supply the sale prices, yields, or growth formula required for a trustworthy profit ranking.

Crafting and decorating fixes cover ingredients without quality remaining in inventory, higher-quality placed items not being consumed, and house upgrades losing Storage Crate contents or decoration quality. The site should recheck any future inventory, storage, or decoration advice against a current platform build.

Characters, gifts, and progression

The update moved embroidery earlier, allowing embroidery-date invitations sooner, and added more Vampire Sketches from Brook. It also names several progression blockers: Kim’s first Heart Event pausing time, a Nokturna reward not being received, multiple plot cutscenes blocking later events, and the Loveage Gift Exchange dialogue trapping the player.

The cutscene fix specifically mentions Death handing over the Antique Clock as an example of previously blocked progress. That makes the patch relevant to the Death profile, but it does not by itself verify Death’s biography, schedule, romance fields, Net requirements, or Soul Blob progression. Those fields use their own fixed source revision.

One fix says some NPCs had stopped responding to gifts, and another prevents gifting Seaweed from trapping the player. Neither statement supplies a character’s Loved, Liked, Neutral, Disliked, or Hated reaction. The Gift Finder therefore keeps its known results tied to separate gift evidence rather than treating the patch as a preference source.

Controls and platform-specific fixes

Steam-specific notes cover Steam Deck reverting to keyboard and mouse, gamepad interaction failing because a hidden cursor was positioned over interface elements, and binding more than one action to the same input. The Deck fix directly updates one July 9 issue. The gamepad note is related to the older player-house interaction report, but its scope is not identical, so the tracker keeps it as a related rather than exact match.

The publisher also listed an L/R-button fix for Switch and Switch 2, plus Marshmallow-date input and cloud-save sync fixes for Google Play Games. Those were described as planned platform rollouts rather than confirmed live versions. See the known-issues tracker for the current distinction.

Sources and update boundary

The primary sources are the official Steam announcement and the publisher’s July 15–16 patch page. This page reorganizes the announcement around player and site-maintenance decisions; it does not reproduce the full patch list.

The summary was rechecked July 18, 2026 UTC. Continue to patch 1.1.44 for the save, farming, embroidery, and decoration follow-up, or return to the patch timeline to compare versions.
